Cake Handling Instructions
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to locations within the Las Vegas, Nevada area. You can also make arrangements to pick up your pre-ordered cake at our facility during normal business hours. If you choose to pick up your cake at our facility, please call us at 702-233-CAKE (2253) to schedule a pickup time.
What kinds of cakes do you deliver?
We offer delivery service for all of our custom designed cakes and for all of our gourmet dessert cakes.
How is my cake delivered?
We use our very own refrigerated van for all deliveries.
When will my cake be delivered?
For custom designed cakes, your cake will be delivered directly to your event, at the time and location you specify when you order it. For our gourmet dessert cakes, your cake will be delivered the next day after ordering it, at the location you give as the “shipping address” on the ordering form. If you select Local Pickup, cakes ordered before noon will be available after 2:00PM the same day.
Can I pick up my cake at your shop?
Yes. You may pick up your cake at our shop during normal business hours (9am-5pm Monday-Saturday). If you order your cake before noon, it will be ready after 2:00pm the same day. Otherwise, it will be ready the next day. Our shop is located in the Wilshire Plaza, Suite 7, at 5243 W. Charleston Blvd. in Las Vegas.
What if nobody is home to receive the cake?
Due to the nature of cake, we cannot leave a delivery unattended. If nobody is home when we attempt to deliver your cake, the driver will leave a note indicating the time the attempt was made, and giving you a telephone number you can call to reschedule the delivery or to make arrangements to pick up the cake at our facility. Please note that there may be additional charges if this occurs.
May I send a cake to a school, business, hotel or a non-residential area?
Yes! We can certainly deliver our cakes and other items to schools, businesses and hotels – even directly to your hotel room! But please be aware that some businesses in Las Vegas, especially those on “The Strip” (Las Vegas Blvd) may charge an additional gratuity or fee for allowing us to deliver your cake to you. Feel free to call us at 702-233-CAKE (2253) or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions, or if you would like us to determine the best way to deliver to a specific school. Some schools may have limited hours during which they will allow us to deliver your cake, and we recommend letting the student and teacher know that they have a surprise coming so they can meet us at the entry.
What do I do if the cake that I ordered arrives late or damaged?
Customer service is of the utmost importance to Las Vegas Custom Cakes. Please call our bakery at 702-233-CAKE (2253) or email us at email@example.com to report any damages or issues. Please feel free to share any pictures of your damaged item or share your experience with us. We strive to provide the best customer service and we appreciate your input. If you experience complications please call our Bakery at 702-233-CAKE(2253) as soon as possible.
How should I store my cake?
If you are planning to serve your cake on the same day it arrives, simply keep it in a cool, safe place, or refrigerate it. But if you are planning to store it for more than a day, we recommend freezing it immediately after the cake is received. You may pop the entire cake in the freezer for up to one month! Each cake contains a serving and storing instruction card in the package.
When should I take my cake out to thaw?
All of our signature cakes take about 4 hours out of the freezer to thaw at room temperature. You may also put your cake in the refrigerator the night before and take it out the day of serving. Each cake contains a serving and storing instruction card in the package.
How long will my cake last in the refrigerator?
We recommend storing your cake in the freezer, well wrapped in plastic wrap. This will prevent the cake from drying out or from absorbing any odors from other foods. We only recommend storing your leftover cake in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
May I refreeze the cake that’s leftover?
Yes! We recommend storing your cake or any leftovers in the freezer, well wrapped in plastic wrap. This will prevent the cake from drying out or from absorbing any odors from other foods. You may refreeze all of our dessert cakes once for up to one month! We recommend wrapping your cake in plastic wrap and storing in a freezer safe zip lock bag.
May I custom order a cake flavor or order a seasonal cake off season?
You may certainly call us at 702-233-CAKE (2253) or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any special requests! We love hearing all your suggestions and try our best to provide any special orders. You might just see your suggestion on our menu soon! If you miss the time period to order your favorite special cake when it is advertised and do not have an extra stored in the freezer (remember all our cakes can be stored in the freezer for up to one month) you can special order our off season cake selections! Please allow 3 business days for baking and shipping on any special or custom orders.
Can you write on my cake?
We encourage you to customize your cake for birthdays, anniversaries or other special occasions. You are also able to include a personalized gift message that is included with the package. Feel free to mail, email at email@example.com or drop off a custom note, card or picture that you would like us to include along with your shipment! Remember that this message is the only way that your recipient can determine who sent their delicious surprise! We recommend that you always include your name along with your gift order.
